Hello Monika, an excellent episode and as you also commented during the show, a suspenseful break just before jurgen’s more in-depth analysis of Das Boot, a movie I had figuratively been waiting for all my life! Indeed, a milestone picture… and, yet? Yes, there were moments in the film that disappointed me back then when I was too young to know about things like political propaganda, cognitive dissonance and denazification all of which were incorporated therein.
