Tom in Florida. Why does someone who knows so little think that he has the right to say so much on the air? He thinks that the people in Iran (Persia) are Arabs. Why is he so frantic to inflict his ignorance on us? He sounds like he’s high on a drug. He sounds like a maniac.

Another caller said that the ancient Greeks conquered Persia. No, it was the Macedonians under Alexander the so-called “Great” who conquered Persia. Alexander was a psychopathic tyrant who should have been assassinated. When he and his army invaded India, the Greek city Thebes rebelled and freed itself from Macedonia. When Alexander returned from India, he besieged and conquered Thebes and enslaved the entire population.
Speaking of Persia, for what it’s worth here’s another quatrain from Omar Khayyam (translated by Edward FitzGerald):

A caller said that the Ukraine belongs to Russia and that Russia [successfully] resisted the Mongols.
The Ukraine is not really part of Russia, and I believe that the Ukrainian language is as different from Russian as French is from Italian.

On April 10, 2010, about 90 members of the Polish elite boarded an airplane to travel to a commemoration of the Katyn massacre. They were all killed when the plane crashed.
