Trump has always had close relations with the Jewish community. New York real estate was Jewish dominated. For Trump to be a player in this area he has to be on good terms with the Jews.
I think Trump has even converted to Judaism. I have seen a photo of him wearing a Jewish skull-cap as his hands were pressed against the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
