Ukraine was formerly Khazaria, ruled by the Jews. Perhaps the Jews plan to take it back. In that case they will want the current inhabitants, the Ukranians, to be removed in preparation for resettlement with Jews. Ukraine is valuable land. It has rich farmland and mineral deposits.
