Skull and Bonesman Eddie Lampert: Ivy League Pirate Vulture Capitalist
Edward Scott “Eddie Haskell” Lampert’s vampiric, predatory greed is now a matter of public record – and knows no bounds, it seems. In the latest round of vulture capitalist corporate raiding, Sears – one of America’s most durable and iconic brands, established after the Civil War – has been parted out and gutted by “Eddie Haskell” Lampert via his ESL Investments and various proxies. This HuffPo article excerpt seems to say it best:
The story goes far beyond Sears. Last year, about 20 retail chains went into bankruptcy. In most cases, the culprit was a hedge fund or private equity owner. (These two business models were once rather different, but are increasingly converging.)
In light of this recent trend of what could arguably be called economic terrorism, one wonders how long this line on “Eddie Haskell” Lampert’s Wikipedia page will remain:
Lampert graduated from Yale University in 1984 (B.A., economics, summa cum laude), where he was a member of Skull and Bones[2][7] and Phi Beta Kappa.
By now, most people are familiar with the inordinate power and influence members of the Skull and Bones fraternity wield. Wright Mills aptly dubbed ‘The Power Elite’.
