Stop the Presses was hosted by Ron Avery today filling in for Mark Anderson who is gathering news stories first hand. Ron explained why “President” Biden’s comments about our responsibility that comes with freedom is not news nor worthy of our attention. Biden should be working by executing the law not sitting around preaching about responsibility to take an injection which is not a law. He should be closing the border which is the execution of law not an opinion about vaccines or treatment of illegal aliens who violate the law. A president is not a king or a pastor or priest he is an elected officer we pay to execute the law. That is all we should be interested in when it comes to any president.
Ron then played a bit of a video about a scuffle that broke out in the Italian Parliament regarding the institution of a covid pass. Then he read some of the news story about it since the video was in Italian.
Ron made the point again that we could avoid all tyranny being justified by events like supposed terrorism and emergencies if we made government stick to political science which created our constitutions. Discussion of covid passes would not be permitted if the population knew that all government is limited at all times to the authority in each individual and that an individual’s rights do not increase with emergencies of any kind. No government authority is derived by emergencies of any kind at any time.
Ron had a long talk with Darren from Illinois and Kelly from Georgia both of whom added some great points. Then Pat from Texas got a couple of minutes at the end to bring up the UN and its unlawful influence over us.
