Members of Congress are retiring in hopes of “locking-in” their future retirement payments. Currently their monthly retirement checks are equal to their monthly salaries. They hope to freeze their retirement as it stands.
I received an email to this and there was a clause in the email that stated:
The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators should serve their terms, then go home and go back to work, and not get all kinds of freebies!
Due to politicians today, I think it is rather fair to say to the pre-mentioned statement that is would be better had they served their terms in office and their retirement in a Federal Penitentiary for treason they have committed against the United States. As well as the crimes they have sanctioned of those people’s and countries abroad.
